This short film was created as part of a collaborative project for my Digital Video module in UCC. My co-collaberators were Arlene Murray, Eoin Long and Eoin O’Connor. For this film, we wanted to visually represent the poem to give the words stronger meaning. You can watch the short film below.

To really convey the mood of the era the poem was written (1955), we shot in black and white with a grainy finish and shot in locations that suited the feel of the poem. Two camera were used and the footage was edited in Final Cut Pro. Music playing through out the film, which really works very well with the words is by a group called Stars of the Lid and the song is called “A Meaningful Moment Through a Meaning (Less) Process”.
